Your details, looked after.
When you apply for a desk, you trust us with a few things about yourself. This page says what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 5 November 2026.
Who we are
House of LXMI is a coworking space for women in Andheri West, Mumbai, from LXMI Inc. For anything on this page, write to us at contact@houseoflxmi.com.
What we collect
What you type into the application form:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- your company or project name, LinkedIn profile, and website or Instagram;
- the dates and number of desks you ask for;
- your answers about what you’re working on and what you’d use the Space for;
- the time you agreed to this notice.
If we offer you a desk, we also collect:
- a copy of your passport or driving licence, which you email to us and we store exactly as you sent it;
- which of the two you sent, the name on it, and when it was checked;
- whether you came in for your booking, and any no-shows.
To show you this website and keep spam out, our host Cloudflare also handles technical details such as your IP address and browser. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t build a profile of you. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To review your application and decide whether we can offer you the dates.
- To contact you about it by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- To know who is coming in on which day, and to look after the Space and everyone in it.
- To confirm who you are before we confirm your booking, and to keep a record of who has been in the Space.
- To apply our cancellation policy, including turning down applications after three no-shows in a row.
- To keep the form free of bots, with a security check from Cloudflare.
Your ID is checked automatically. An AI service reads the name on it, and we compare that with your application. If they match, your booking is confirmed. If they don’t, we ask you for a new copy, and you can always write to us so that a person looks at it.
We use your details only because you agree to it, when you apply and when you send us your ID. We don’t sell them, and we won’t send you marketing without asking first.
Who sees it
The House of LXMI team, signed in to our private dashboard. A few companies help us run things and handle your details only to do that job for us: Cloudflare (website, database, file storage and security), Resend (sending our emails, and receiving your reply with your ID), OpenAI (reading the name on your ID) and Google Workspace (our inbox). They may store or process data outside India.
How long we keep it
We keep an application for up to 12 months after your stay ends, or after we let you know we can’t offer the dates, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
We store the copy of your ID in our private dashboard and delete it when we delete your application. If we can’t use a copy, we don’t store it. Resend keeps the email you sent it in, and OpenAI may keep a copy for safety checks, for up to 30 days.
If you reach three no-shows in a row, we keep your name, email address, phone number and that no-show record after your application is deleted, for as long as we need them to apply our cancellation policy.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct or complete it;
- delete it, apart from a no-show record we still need to apply our cancellation policy;
- stop using it, by withdrawing your consent (we then can’t consider your application);
- let someone you name act for you if you can’t.
Write to contact@houseoflxmi.com from the email address you applied with, and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Keeping it safe
The website only works over a secure connection, and only signed-in members of our team can see applications. Copies of IDs sit in private storage with no public address, and we log each time someone opens one. House of LXMI is for adults: please don’t apply if you’re under 18.
Changes
If we change how we use your details, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
